Dear Engine 7, Ladder 1,
Hello, I am in the 7th grade at Edmeston Central. I am 12 years old. My class saw the
documentary 9/11. After seeing it I couldn't say anything. I was shocked about
what actually happened inside the Twin Towers.
On September 11th, 2001 I was devastated when my math teacher told me that
the Twin Towers had been hit by airplanes. I felt like crying. You
have taught me that to be a hero you don't have to be some super strong, all
powerful being. You can just be an average everyday person, a brave person.
I know your family and friends must have felt
because my grandfather was a volunteer firefighter and my uncle is in the Air
Force. Every time something involves the Air Force I worry if my uncle is ok or
if he was hurt. I feel safe to know people like you are living everywhere in
the country.
