September 11th (Superman) Letter

Dear Engine 7, Ladder 1,

Hello I am in the 7th grade. I am 14 years old and I am very disturbed about 9/11. My classmates and I viewed a film 9/11 by Jules and Gideon Naudet. The film is very eye opening and very terrifying. You have changed the way I handle my problems, insults, and handle every day life. I used to handle them through violence and now instead I handle them orally.

My family was hoping you would be able to tell us what gave you the strength to go against the odds knowing you might die, but going for it anyway? Is there something you keep saying to yourself or what?

Up until now I had always thought firefighters were just people who fight fires, but now I know that they are so much more. You are our hope for life and for our dreams. You all deserve a great honor. I hope that even if I never hear from you that you keep doing the job that we all remember you for. Thank you for your hard work and determination that is what keeps America strong!

Sincerely,
