Dear Engine 7, Ladder 1,
Hello I am in the 7th grade and attend
Edmeston Central School. You have taught me that to be a hero you need to have
courage and respect for people you know and for strangers. Also you have taught
me about dedication.
My class watched the documentary 9/11. I just
want to say that I am proud of all the firefighters that died and survived.
Viewing the film has changed my attitude and point of view toward people,
especially people who work to secure our country.
I am very proud of all the firefighters. You
all went up not knowing what was going on outside the doors of the Twin Towers. You went up knowing there was a 50/50 chance of
surviving. Since you are dedicated to saving innocent lives you are heroes.
Your friends that didn't survive go down as heroes too.
Thank you for all the effort and work you do
to keep our country safe.
