Many people have come and gone
on that frightful day

Some died naturally
some died from that awful tragedy

Thank the lord there are people like you
strong, brave, and smart like you
people willing to risk their all
for people who are stuck in buildings
trying to live and all

All this madness
it's such a big ugly scene

People of AMERICA
in this whole crazy thing
After all the pain, the wounds they'll heal

But in my mind I will always feel a
strong feeling of helplessness and sorrow

But I'll always remember the fellow Americans
who helped me and my family all the while
